Food Donations
Do you know of, or are you, a grocer, caterer, or an organization having a food drive or other organization that would like to donate unserved food for the hungry? Please contact us!
Liabilities for food donors are protected by the Good Samaritan Food Donation Act
The Food Donations office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. but the answering service can take your call 24/7 for scheduling a pickup. Our office will contact you direct to find out more details and confirm the time of food pickup. Our truck operates six mornings a week and Board Members assist with weekend food donations. In order for us to pick up your donation, the total weight of the food must be ten pounds or higher.

Monetary Donations
We need your help financially for operating expenses to allow HOIH to continue our mission of reducing hunger in the Peoria community. Personal and grant donations are greatly appreciated and your name will be added to our mailing list. All monetary donations are tax deductible. At this time, we cannot accept credit cards.
